| JEREMY LATTA - ELECTRONIC WORKS VOL. 1 | ||
![]() |
If you have even lightly perused these pages, or listened even casually to any of the music flogged on this site, you will know that I - Jeremy Latta - am hopelessly in love with analogue synthesizers. It is an affair that began when I was but a teenager, and it has been raging unabated for all these many years. I surely loved synthesizer-based pop music (really, who doesn't?) but I also loved instrumental, ambient, and sequenced electronic music too. I've made plenty of poppish music in my time, but not so much instrumental 70s - 90s sort of electronic stuff. Here is my attempt at rebalancing the scales. No singing. No high-minded concepts. Just a Moog synthesizer running all sorts of interesting sequences in various layers, with a bunch of delays. Yup. It's a love letter to 1995 (not the real 1995, but my 1995). I can admit that. But! If you liked 1995 you might like this. And chances are I'll make another record or two sort of like this, because it's so much fun. Give it a listen here. Interested in how it was done? Drop me a line, and check out Numerology - it is fantastic. |
