THE CONSTELLATIONS - OUR FRIEND LAZARUS HAS FALLEN ASLEEP, BUT I GO NOW TO AWAKEN HIM FROM SLEEP
It was a long winter, and The Constellations stopped listening to music and spent a good long time holed up in a bedroom studio tinkering and recording, and recording, and fiddling, and making everything right. The result was Our friend Lazarus... a major step forward for the band. Here the keyboards and the guitars work together like peanut butter and celery sticks. The drum machine, the electric piano, the sweet harmonies, and captivating lyrics.... everyone you know will enjoy this very original album.

Our friend Lazarus... is a rather diverse album, lyrically, with songs about major diseases, aged pop heroes, tormented monarchs of long ago, and so much more. This is to say: vintage Constellations. This writer can think of few comparisons, and none that would be truly instructive (but that may be, more than anything, a reflection of this writer's insulation). Regardless, pick up this album today, you'll be very happy with yourself for a good long time.

Listen to The Constellations and see for yourself.
