THE UNITED EMPIRE LOYALIST ORCHESTRA - PROFILES OF SINGLE WOMEN
In the winter and spring of 2003 Ottawa's Gallery 101 played host to the Pleasure Through Sound music series - ten concerts by a wide variety of musicians, groups, and organizations covering a wide range of themes.

One of those concerts featured Frontenac County's finest sons and daughters: The United Empire Loyalist Orchestra, performing the utterly haunting Profiles of Single Women. The performance featured an hour's worth of samples of women looking for companionship through a telephone dating service, as well as like images from an Internet dating site. This was something of a sombre subject, sometimes funny, but not for long.... you ought to listen to it. The Orchestra played a lovely minimalist piece underneath the ladies, and the audience was rivetted, as always. A real watershed for the Orchestra. Remember, everyone is lonely sometimes.

Visit the first unofficial UELO website for pictures, samples, and other good stuff - maintained by Head of Logistics (Limestone Counties) Brandon Fodden.

Visit the second unofficial UELO website for more stuff - maintained by Champion of Post Production (and envoy to Sweden) David McCallum. Mr. McCallum is spreading the UELO's principles to Scandanavia, his website merits investigation.

"O Canada" like all UELO performances, was held at Ottawa's best and friendliest gallery, Gallery 101.

The fine fellows of the band if then do coordinated the Pleasure Through Sound series. They do excelletn work and are premium friends of the Orchestra.
